French metals group Eramet SA announced on Thursday that there would be further cuts in production during the first quarter for manganese ore and alloys due to slack demand.
Eramet Manganese will reduce its manganese ore output by 600,000 metric tons and manganese alloy production by 150,000 tons during the first quarter to approximately 40% of its manganese ore capacity and 35% of its manganese alloy capacity.
