Vancouver-based Farallon Mining has shipped 4,399 wet tonnes of zinc concentrate from its G-9 mine to the Trail Metallurgical Complex belonging to Teck Resources in the southeast corner of British Columbia. This is the first shipment from the mine made to a North American smelter.
The G-9 zinc-copper-silver-gold-lead mine at the Campo Morado property reached commercial production in April 2009. It is expected to produce 120 million lb of zinc and 15 million lb of copper for the remainder of 2009.
