Japan Ferrochrome Price Up 26 Per Cent For Q3

The term price for ferrochrome to Japan for July-September has been raised to 97 cents per pound, up 20 cents or 26 percent from the second quarter of this year, an official at Nippon Steel & Sumikin Stainless Steel Corp said on Thursday.
It is the first rise in the term price in a year.

NSSC, owned 80 percent by Nippon Steel Corp and 20 percent by Sumitomo Metal Industries Ltd is Japan's largest comprehensive stainless steel maker.
