Korea Zinc Expects Sales To Tumble

Korea Zinc, the world's second-largest zinc refiner, said on Thursday that 2009 sales could fall by up to 38 percent due to weak zinc prices.

The company forecast sales would be between 1.5 trillion won ($1.1 billion) and 1.77 trillion won this year, against 2.45 trillion won a year ago.

It aims for zinc sales of 410,000 tonnes this year trading at between $1,000 and $1,200 a tonne.
