Sarda Announces Indonesia Coal Supply Deal

Sarda Energy & Minerals has announced that it has, through its wholly-owned subsidiary based in Singapore, entered into long term arrangements to buy coal originating from mines in Indonesia with a provision for the sharing of economic benefits.

The company is an integrated steel plant, part of the Sarda Group. Other group companies include Chhattisgarh Investments, Parvatiya Power, Chhattisgarh Hydro Power and Madhya Bharat Power Corporation are other group companies.

The company produces sponge iron, ferroalloys, steel ingots, steel billets, steel TMT bars and fly ash bricks.

The manufacturing plant of the company is located at Raipur in Chhattisgarh with installed capacities of 100,000 tonne per annum ferromanganese and silicomanganese, 200,000 tonne per annum billets, 40,000 tonne per annum ingots, 210,000 tonne per annum sponge iron.
