Chile's Minister Of Mines, Santiago Gomez, said on Friday that copper exports from his country, the world's largest producer of copper, will likely come in at similar volumes in 2009 compared to 2008.
According to cochilco, the state copper commission, Chile produced 5.33 million tonnes of copper in 2008, 4.1 percent less than in 2007, and exported 5.405 million tonnes of copper last year, 4.7 percent less than the previous year.
