The Republic of Georgia has reported exports of ferroalloys up by over 200% in the first quarter of 2008 according to the country’s Statistics Department.
Ferroalloys are now the country’s biggest export earner with exports worth $57.6million in the quarter to the end of March, a rise of $39.3million over the same period last year.
Total exports from the former Soviet republic increased by 47.8% over 2007 to a total of $330.6million.
