China Increases HDG Price As Differential Narrows

It is reported that steel exports in China are seeing a recovery as the price difference between Chinese and global sources have begun to narrow.

And following the domestic price increase, Chinese steel mills and traders also hiked the HDG export offer by USD 30 per tonne.

The current export quotation for 1mm HDG posts stands at USD 540 to 570 per tonne while that of two weeks ago tagged at USD 510 to 560 per tonne.

Traders said enquiries from Southeast Asia and East Asia have increased, but only few transactions are heard in the market.
