It is reported that China exported 1.67 million tonnes of finished steel products in March, a fall of 59.9% year-in-year but an increase of 110,000 tonnes over February. It is perhaps a signal that the overseas market is beginning to recover.
Among the exported steels, bars and wires account for 140,000 tonnes, down by 84.1%; plates at 660,000 tonnes, down by 68.9%; steel pipes at 520,000 tonnes increased by 5.1% and seamless pipes accounted for 273,000 tonnes, a decrease of 19.5% compared to January.
In addition, the average export price of Chinese steel products was USD 1,079 per tonne in March, and the steel pipes price was USD 1388 per tonne.
